Fantastical Worlds

Some exciting news!

I'm submitting my work to possibly be included in a project in which 5-10 artists will be selected to have their artwork made into fine art prints. The theme is: Fantastical Worlds. Here are three pieces of art that I'm submitting.  I'll have more information below the images.

"Wandering" 16 x 20" gouache on paper

Here is why I think my work compliments the theme Fantastical Worlds:

My work primarily depicts things that are found in the natural world: People, animals, and landscapes. These inspirations spark my imagination and the melding of the two is what you see in my paintings. I feel that I can create my own small imaginary universe of paint on paper (or canvas) and the feeling is indescribable. I want to share my imagination with others and have them feel something, whether it is hope, wonder, or peace, when they see my work.

I've had quite a few people ask me if I have thought about creating prints of my work. I feel a little overwhelmed at the thought because I want to ensure that I am getting good quality prints and that I am able to make it worth my while. When I saw this project idea on The Abundant Artist site, I jumped at the chance to submit my work. What a great way to reach a larger audience and to try something completely new to me!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I'd really love to be a part of this project!
